Colorado Garage Floor Coating FAQs
How do you compare to companies that use a two-coat system?
We install a true 3-coat polyaspartic system, (we don’t count the flake coat as a coat like others do) which includes a primer coat, a full broadcast color-flake basecoat, and a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat. Many companies only apply a two-coat system, which can leave the floor more vulnerable to wear, moisture, and long-term adhesion issues. We also use all of the same products, so they adhear better.
Our third coat creates a thicker, stronger, more protective finish that resists hot-tire pickup, chemicals, peeling, and yellowing far better than thinner systems. Combined with professional surface prep using diamond bit grinding, our 3-coat process gives homeowners a longer-lasting, more durable garage floor that’s engineered to hold up under Colorado conditions.
How durable is a polyaspartic floor?
Polyaspartic coatings are extremely durable and built to withstand daily vehicle traffic, road salts, chemicals, UV exposure, and heavy use. They are 4x stronger than traditional epoxy and are designed to resist chipping, peeling, staining, and hot-tire pickup. With proper installation, a polyaspartic floor can last the lifetime of your home. And we do use all polyaspartic in our coating, nothing else.
How long does installation take?
Smaller residential garage floors can be completed in as little as one day, depending on the weather conditions. Our team arrives in the morning, performs diamond bit grinding to properly prepare the concrete, installs the full 3-coat polyaspartic system, and allows it to cure. Otherwise it will be completed in 2 days.
Will it yellow or peel?
Our polyaspartic topcoat is UV stable, meaning it won’t yellow, fade, or discolor even under Colorado’s strong sunlight. Because we use diamond bit grinding for proper surface preparation and a true 3-coat polyaspartic system, the coating bonds deeply and resists peeling or lifting. When installed correctly on sound concrete, polyaspartic coatings maintain their clarity, gloss, and durability for many years.
What’s the warranty?
We provide a lifetime residential warranty that covers peeling, flaking, and adhesion issues when installed on sound concrete. Our polyaspartic system is engineered for long-term durability, and we stand behind every installation. If you ever have a concern with your floor, our team is here to help and will make it right.
Is polyaspartic better than epoxy?
Polyaspartic is considered a superior choice to epoxy because it cures faster, remains more flexible, and offers significantly better UV stability. Unlike epoxy, polyaspartic won’t yellow in sunlight and resists hot-tire pickup, chemicals, and abrasion. When combined with proper surface prep through diamond bit grinding, a 3-coat polyaspartic system delivers a stronger, longer-lasting finish than traditional epoxy.
How much does a garage floor coating cost?
The cost of a polyaspartic garage floor coating varies based on the size of your garage, the condition of the concrete, and any repairs needed before installation. Every project is unique, and pricing depends on square footage, surface prep, and your chosen flake style. The best way to get an accurate quote is to schedule a free in-home evaluation so we can assess the floor and provide detailed pricing.
Is the floor slippery?
Polyaspartic coatings can be customized with anti-slip additives to increase traction and safety, especially in garages exposed to snow, water, and winter melt-off. Our standard flake system naturally adds texture, but we can increase the slip resistance based on your needs to ensure a safe, comfortable surface year-round.
Do you repair cracks or damage first?
Yes. Before applying any coating, we repair cracks, spalling, pits, and surface imperfections to ensure a smooth, durable finish. Proper repairs combined with diamond bit grinding create the ideal surface profile for long-term adhesion, helping the polyaspartic coating bond deeply and perform at its best.
