Colorado Garage Floor Coating FAQs
What services does Colorado Springs Garage Floors offer?
Colorado Springs Garage Floors specializes in polyaspartic floor coatings, sealed concrete, and polished collection concrete for garages, basements, patios, porches, and commercial spaces. We also offer garage cabinets and storage solutions to complete your makeover.
What is a polyaspartic floor coating?
A polyaspartic floor coating is a high-performance, fast-curing coating that is up to 4x stronger than traditional epoxy. It resists chemicals, road salt, hot tire pickup, and UV damage, making it ideal for Colorado garages and high-traffic areas.
Because we use polyaspartic on all three coats, our floors achieve a stronger, more consistent bond than systems that combine multiple product types.
And we do not count the flake as a coat, we install a polyaspartic primer coat, a second polyaspartic coat (and then the flake), and then a top coat. Three true coats of polyaspartic.
Is polyaspartic better than epoxy for garage floors?
Yes, in most cases polyaspartic is the better choice. It cures faster, is more flexible, has better UV stability, and offers superior chemical and abrasion resistance compared to standard epoxy. It will not yellow or peel like epoxy. That’s why Colorado Springs Garage Floors focuses on polyaspartic systems.
What areas do you serve?
We serve homeowners and businesses in the greater Colorado Springs area, Pueblo, south of Denver, and surrounding areas, including Monument, Falcon, Peyton, Black Forest, and nearby communities along the Front Range.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Colorado Springs Garage Floors offers a lifetime residential warranty against peeling and delamination on our polyaspartic floor coating systems.
How do I get a quote or schedule a free estimate?
You can request a free consultation by filling out the form on our website (click the red Get Your Free Estimate button) or calling our office. We’ll review your space, discuss options and colors, and provide a written estimate for your garage or concrete floor project.
What color and style options are available?
We offer a wide range of flake blends and colors, including popular options like Avalanche, Cappuccino, Glacier, Teton, and more. We can help you choose a color that works with your home, cabinets, and vehicles.
Can you coat spaces other than garages?
Yes. In addition to garages, we coat basements, porches, patios, shop floors, RV garages, and many types of commercial spaces such as service bays, warehouses, vet clinics, showrooms, restaurants, retail spaces, and fitness centers.
How long does the installation take?
Most residential garage floors are completed in just one or two days (depending on the size), including surface prep, flake broadcast, and topcoat.
6 hours after the crew walks off the floor, you can walk on it, just touch it to make sure it is not tacky before doing so. Also make sure your shoes are clean please as it will track in debris
48 hours after the crew walks off the floor, you can start driving on it
The only time this can be longer is if the weather is below freezing, please give an additional 24 hours.
How is the concrete surface prepared before coating?
We use professional diamond bit grinding to open the pores of the concrete and remove weak or damaged material. This creates a strong profile for the coating to bond to and is one of the most important steps in ensuring a long-lasting floor.
Will my new floor be slippery?
Our decorative flake system provides texture and slip resistance, especially when compared to bare, dusty concrete. We can discuss slip-resistance options and flake blends to help give you both a beautiful and practical floor.
How do I care for and clean my new floor?
Maintenance is simple. Most floors only need regular sweeping and occasional mopping with a mild cleaner. Polyaspartic coatings are non-porous, so spills, road salt, and dirt clean up easily without soaking into the concrete.
